Question 1: I'm looking for information of the relationships between the Peirce concept of "Abduction" in logic and epistemology (as is act in transition between the mental states of doubt and belief) and the development of scientific knowledge and¡¡logic structures construction in Piaget perspective. Someone has worked this topic? Can someone tell me something or bibliography about it? Answer 1: N.R. Hanson the philosopher of science had a lot to say about abduction. His work is generally consistent with much of Piaget, although he did not make an explicit connection: Hanson, N. R. (1961). Patterns of discovery. Cambridge, England: Cambridge University Press. Answer 2: Amsel, E., & Brock, S. (1996). Developmental changes in childrens evaluation of evidence. Cognitive Development, 11, 523-550. Answer 3: Hanson wrote a lot on this; so has Gilbert Harman,¡¡Peter Lipton, Tom Nickles (each have a book on this). -------------- (This article is from email discussions through owner-piaget-list@interchange.ubc.ca)
