DEPARTMENT OF COUNSELING, EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY AND RESEARCH

Position: Instructor of Educational Psychology in the Department of Counseling, Educational Psychology and Research. Position #L09800 is non-tenure track, for one year, and may be renewed for a maximum term of 3 years of service

Qualifications:  An earned doctorate in Educational Psychology, human development, or a closely related terminal degree is required. Applicants are required to provide evidence of competence to teach developmental psychology, learning and cognition. Applicants open to online teaching are desired. Research and service experience in Educational Psychology is also desired. Experience teaching in urban settings with a diverse student body and/or adult development is highly desirable. 
 
Responsibilities:  Teach undergraduate and graduate courses (face-to-face and online) for the department and college, and supervise/mentor students. In addition to teaching responsibilities, applicant will supervise student research and contribute to courses taught in the masters/ programs in educational psychology.
 
Setting:  The University of Memphis, a Tennessee Board of Regents institution, is recognized by the Carnegie Foundation as one of two public research universities and the only community engaged public university in Tennessee.
